No heating, no hot water, a boiler that keeps losing pressure or showing an error code: we’ll find out what’s wrong and fix it if it makes sense to. If your boiler is genuinely at the end of its life, we’ll explain why and quote for a replacement. We won’t sell you a new boiler you don’t need.
We’re a small plumbing and heating business in Battersea, SW11. We work across Battersea, Clapham, Chelsea, Lambeth, Putney, Dulwich, Wandsworth and most W, SW and SE postcodes. All gas work is done by Gas Safe registered engineers (Gas Safe no. 955367).

Gas Safe registered, no. 955367. TrustNico is the trading name of Nico Sabatini Ltd (company no. 06800721).
Smell gas? Don’t call us first. Leave the property if you can, don’t use switches or naked flames, turn off the gas at the meter if it’s safe to, open windows and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 (free, 24 hours).
Our pricing, clear from the start
Our basic boiler service is £105 + VAT. For repairs, we find the fault first and then give you a price before we start any work. For larger jobs, including new boiler installations, we give you a fixed quote in advance.
Emergency call-outs in the evenings and at weekends are available, subject to availability, at a higher cost.
Boiler repairs: what’s included
- Finding the fault. We check the error codes, the gas supply and pressure, the ignition and flame sensing, the fan, the pump, the diverter valve, the PCB, the sensors and the controls.
- Common repairs. Loss of pressure (leaks, the pressure relief valve, the expansion vessel), no hot water or no heating, noisy boilers (kettling, pump or fan noise), boilers that won’t light or keep locking out, and frozen condensate pipes.
- A price before we start. Once we know the cause, we’ll tell you what it needs and what it costs. If the part has to be ordered, we’ll tell you how long it will take.
- Safety checks after the repair. Combustion analysis, a gas tightness check (as applicable, and always for a Landlord Gas Safety Record) and checks on the safety devices before we hand the boiler back.
- Related heating faults. Radiators not heating, leaks on pipework, thermostats and controls. These overlap with our existing central heating and radiator work.
Prevent breakdowns with an annual boiler service.
Boiler installations: what’s included
- A survey first. We look at your home, how you use hot water, the existing system, the gas supply and the flue route, then recommend the right type and size of boiler. That might be combi, system or regular. Sometimes the right answer is to keep your hot water cylinder, or to convert to an unvented cylinder, which we already install.
- A clear written quote. It lists the boiler, the flue, the controls, the filter and any pipework changes, so you can compare like for like.
- System clean and protection. Cleaning, inhibitor and a magnetic system filter, in line with industry guidance (BS 7593) and most manufacturers’ warranty conditions.
- Controls that meet current Building Regulations.
- Commissioning. We set up the gas rate, check combustion and safety devices, and fill in the Benchmark commissioning checklist.
- Paperwork. We notify Building Control through the Gas Safe Register (you’ll receive a Building Regulations compliance certificate by post) and register the manufacturer’s warranty for you.
- Our guarantee. We guarantee our workmanship for a year. The boiler itself is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Who it’s for
- Homeowners with a boiler that’s broken down, keeps losing pressure, or is old and unreliable.
- People who want to move the boiler, for example out of the kitchen and into a cupboard or the loft during a refurbishment.
- Landlords who need a quick repair after a tenant reports a fault, or a replacement after an appliance has failed a gas safety check. See our Landlord Gas Safety Record (LGSR, formerly known as CP12) page.
- Owners of flats and conversions where the flue route and building rules need careful planning. We’ll tell you upfront if freeholder or managing agent permission may be needed.

Frequently asked questions
My boiler has lost pressure. What can I do?
Check the pressure gauge with the heating off. Most boilers want around 1–1.5 bar when cold, but check your manual. You can usually top it up yourself with the filling loop, following the manufacturer’s instructions. If it keeps dropping, there’s a leak somewhere, or a fault with the pressure relief valve or the expansion vessel. Call us and we’ll find it.
What does a visit cost?
Our basic boiler service is £105 + VAT. If you need a repair, we’ll find the fault and give you a price before we do any work. For larger jobs we give you a fixed quote in advance.
Should I repair my boiler or replace it?
It depends on the boiler’s age and condition, whether parts are still available, how often it’s broken down, and what the repair costs compared with a new boiler. We’ll give you an honest view and a price for both. If a repair makes sense, we’ll say so.
How long does a new boiler installation take?
We’ll give you a timescale with the quote. Moving the boiler, changing from a regular boiler to a combi, or adding a new cylinder takes longer than a like-for-like replacement.
What paperwork will I get with a new boiler?
You’ll get the completed Benchmark commissioning checklist, a Building Regulations compliance certificate (sent after we notify the installation through the Gas Safe Register) and the manufacturer’s warranty registration. We guarantee our own workmanship for a year.
My condensate pipe has frozen. Can you help?
Yes. In a cold snap this is one of the most common reasons a modern boiler stops. You can often thaw it with warm (not boiling) water on the outside section of pipe and then reset the boiler. To stop it happening again, we can reroute or insulate the pipe.
Boiler playing up, or thinking about a new one?
Call or WhatsApp 07507 719191, or email info@trustnico.co.uk. Send a photo of the boiler and any error code, and we’ll take it from there.
